What-a-Gig! werd door mij samengesteld en bandorganisatorisch geleid, in eerste instantie t.b.v. een modetheater (!). Later zelfstandig verder gegaan met Anjo Dontje als zakelijk manager. Veel goede muzikanten in de gelederen gehad, van wie velen nog steeds full time in de muziek bezig zijn. In het beginstadium speelde toetsenist Jan Meiborg mee; in het eindstadium van de band gitarist\/zanger Hans Sligter. Half jaren negenig met Jan Hooiveld, gitaar; Wim Kugel, bas (later Guus Strijbosch); Nick Bult, toetsen; Erik Slagter, sax; Peter Deiman, drums.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/peterdeiman.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/gina11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-229\" src=\"http:\/\/peterdeiman.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/gina11-212x300.jpg\" alt=\"gina1\" width=\"212\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/peterdeiman.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/gina11-212x300.jpg 212w, https:\/\/peterdeiman.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/gina11.jpg 425w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 212px) 100vw, 212px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Time Bandits 1995-1996<\/h4>\n<p>Alides Hidding is een topmuzikant die met zijn Time Bandits in de jaren 80 wereldhits scoorde. Halverwege de jaren 90 speelde ik ruim een jaar in een van de vele formaties die Time Bandits heeft gekend met Alides uiteraard als constante spil en Guus Strijbosch op bas en Marco Legtenberg op toetsen. Onder de naam Same hat, new jacket worden onder meer Time Bandits hit akoestisch vertolkt. De band bestond uit Sjoerd v\/d Broek, Bert Beenen, Michel Pagie en Hans Sligter. 2007 was een absoluut topjaar. In april wonnen we tijdens de 28ste Internationale Beatlesconventie in Muziekcentrum De Kom in Nieuwegein de Golden Apple Award 2007. Een paar weken later was de release van de single It Was 40 Years Ago Today die we in de Bullet-studio hadden opgenomen. In augustus hebben Van 24 tot en met 29 Augustus 8 optredens gedaan in LIVERPOOL waaronder 2 X in the Cavern (Beatles stage) en 2 X in The Cavern Back room. We speelden tijdens Tros Muziekcaf\u00e9 voor Radio 2. Met Diederik Idema op toetsen, Thomas Zoetelief op gitaar, Guus Strijbosch op bas, Peter Deiman op drums en een korte periode Marco Tjassing op percussie.
